The rear recoil spring guide, helps to keep the rear recoilspring in place.
The rear recoil spring guide together with the front recoil spring guide will keep both recoil springs in place and keeps them from damaging. Also the end of the rear recoil spring guide has a cutout for the bolt housing retainer that keeps the bolt housing in place on the receiver.
When the end of the recoil spring guide is pushed inwards the complete bolt group can be brought up and removed from the receiver.
