The connecting rod is a part of the gas system between the gas cylinder and actuator rod.
A gas system of a G43 or K43 consists of a gas piston, gas cylinder, connecting rod and an actuator rod.
The connecting rod has been placed between the cylinder and the actuator rod, and can be taken out if the bolt is in the most rear position and the gas cylinder is in the most forward position. When the connecting rod is taken out you can disassemble the gas system further.
